Since 2007, Langosteria 10 and Langosteria 10 Bistrot & Bottega have represented a reference point for seafood fans in Milan.
This year, to coincide with the Expo and summer period, Langosteria has decided to launch a new temporary restaurant, creating a garden beneath the stars where guests can enjoy the Langosteria gastronomical experience informally in the open-air. The space is structured around six stalls each dedicated to a delicacy from the sea: lobster, oysters and raw fish. The menu is completed with Sicilian granitas and a section of typical Italian produce.
We guided Langosteria through the creation of the visual identity for the Fish Bar, from definition of the concept – the urban Mediterranean - to development of a visual language inspired by a Mediterranean atmosphere in an urban context.
The result was an evocative image composed of minimal, simple and flexible signs that come to life in the space through the different communication tools and decoration of the stalls.
Typography: the versatile stencil type, characterized by peculiar ligatures, contributes to express the idea of modernity and lightness.Pattern: clear and continuous visual codes to develop graphic language.
The decisions that defined the colour code, language and illustrations also contribute to the informal and welcoming feel to the place. A pattern that recalls waves becomes the main element along with a typographical character and precise colourful and ironic illustrative style.
Location: Elements of the Langosteria Fish Bar visual identity.
The result is the effective perception of a haven with a sea view, a young and sunny place characterised by a simple expressive grammar that makes it easy to have a positive impact on the space: a place where the Mediterranean can live, flavour and flourish.
The illustrated map of the restaurant has been designed by Carlo Stanga.
